Waarom een rekentest binnen jouw bedrijf toepassen?

Als organisatie ben je voortdurend in beweging. Van nieuwe medewerkers aannemen om te groeien tot bestaande werknemers laten doorstromen waar nodig en mogelijk. Maar vooral door te kijken wat je als organisatie in huis hebt. Zodat je niet voor onverwachte zaken komt te staan. Een rekentest kan je een goede oplossing bieden! Waarom een rekentest iets voor jou organisatie is? Omdat je precies wilt weten waar je staat en waar de kansen of al de mogelijkheden liggen.

Je weet direct hoe je organisatie ervoor staat.

Hoe een bedrijf ervoor staat is de basis binnen een bedrijf. Deze noemen we ook wel eens de nulmeting. Waardoor je een punt hebt vanwaar je een plan kunt trekken. Of dit nu een plan is om vanuit de kern (je werknemers) te kunnen groeien of nieuw talent binnen je bedrijf aan te trekken. Dit is geheel afhankelijk van wat je in huis hebt. Aan de hand van een rekentest kun je bestaande werknemers binnen je bedrijf peilen op de beschikbare kennis en capaciteit. Is er mogelijkheid tot een potentiële groei of niet. Waarbij beide goed zijn. Maar wat wel bepalend is voor de functie die opgevangen moet worden. Als iemand doorgroeit komt er overigens een nieuwe plek vrij die weer opgevangen moet gaan worden. Maar ook als doorgroeien niet mogelijk is moet die hogere functie toch opgevangen worden.

Weet of huidige werknemers kunnen doorstromen

Door een rekentest aan te bieden krijg je inzicht in de capaciteit van je werknemers en op welk niveau werknemers op dit moment functioneren. Is het op mbo, hbo of universitair niveau. Aan de hand daarvan kun je persoonlijke begeleidingen of opleidingen heel specifiek aanbieden op een niveau. Maar ook bepalen of er een doorstroming mogelijk is.

Haal mensen binnen die aansluiten op je organisatie

Dit is natuurlijk ook voor het aantrekken van nieuwe mensen binnen je organisatie. Je hebt als organisatie behoefte aan een bepaald niveau waaraan nieuwe werknemers moeten gaan voldoen. Afgaan op een enkel sollicitatiegesprek is al lang niet meer voldoende. Het is daarom een stuk betrouwbaarder om voor een rekentest te kiezen. Die direct de juiste en meest betrouwbare resultaten laat zien.

Zegt een rekentest alles over werknemers en sollicitanten

Het ligt er natuurlijk aan in welke branche je zit en wat je voor ogen hebt bij werknemers in je organisatie. De mensen die de test doen worden op verschillende onderdelen beoordeeld door de test. De totaalscore bestaat uit het totaal aantal goede antwoorden. Er wordt geen rekening met de snelheid of nauwkeurigheid gehouden. Ook de efficiëntie wordt gemeten binnen de test welke verteld hoe efficiënt er antwoord wordt gegeven. Bij de efficiëntie wordt er rekening gehouden met de kans van gokken. Als er gedurende de test weinig fouten worden gemaakt is de kandidaat heel accuraat. Met andere woorden scoren ze dus hoog op nauwkeurigheid. Waarbij er tot slot nog naar de snelheid van de kandidaat zal worden gekeken. Hier wordt gekeken naar de tijd die er voor het uitvoeren van de test nodig was.

Wat meet je nu concreet met de test

Met de test meet je de capaciteit van de kandidaat als het om cijfermatig inzicht gaat of over numeriek redeneren. Deze is een uitstekende voorspeller van werk en school of bijscholings prestaties. Hoe hoger de kandidaat scoort voor de rekentest hoe groter de kans dat de de werknemer zijn functie of taken goed zal uitvoeren in vergelijking met een lage score. Met andere woorden is het een heel goede manier van meten en erachter komen hoe het met de capaciteit van een organisatie gesteld zal zijn.
