Wat zijn telesales?

Je hebt vast wel eens van telemarketing gehoord, maar heb je ook wel eens over telesales gehoord? Deze twee gaan namelijk hand in hand en ondersteunen elkaar. Waar de twee begrippen beide al een beetje naar hinten met “tele”, gaan deze beide via de telefoon, maar wat is het verschil en wat houden ze in? Dat en meer wordt allemaal aan je uitgelegd in deze blog!

Wat is het verschil tussen telemarketing en telesales?

Wat de twee gemeen hebben is dat er bij beide activiteiten telefonisch contact wordt gezocht met doelgroep en klant van jouw bedrijf. Toch zit er een belangrijk verschil tussen. Bij telemarketing is het namelijk de bedoeling de klant aan de andere kant te informeren over jouw product en deze zo aantrekkelijk mogelijk te presenteren bij diegene. Bij telesales draait het om het direct verkopen van jouw product of dienst via de telefoon.

Ze sluiten dus perfect op elkaar aan. Met telemarketing kan je bedrijf onderzoeken welke groep er geïnformeerd is over en wellicht geïnteresseerd is in jouw product of dienst om vervolgens een telesales team in te zetten om verkopen te maken. Het doel van telesales is dus het omzetten van potentiële klanten naar uiteindelijke klanten.

Kan ik telesales beter uitbesteden of zelf doen?

Beide mogelijkheden heeft natuurlijk zijn voor- en nadelen, maar dit kan ook veel per bedrijf verschillen. Wanneer je het zelf doet weet je van je eigen bedrijf precies wie jouw doelgroep is, wie jouw huidige klanten zijn en/of wie je oude klanten zijn. Tegelijkertijd moet je ook tijd zien te vinden om de telesales daadwerkelijk uit te voeren en of je hier zelf geschikt personeel voor hebt. Stel, je laat telesales uitbesteden, dan gaat er al een hele last van je schouders. Dit wordt dan namelijk allemaal voor je gedaan.

Wat zijn nou de voordelen als je je telesales laat doen door een telesalesteam? Dit zijn een aantal voorbeelden op een rijtje:

  • Het zijn professionals die gespecialiseerd zijn in dit vak en weten dus precies waar ze mee bezig zijn en hoe ze het aan moeten pakken.
  • Deze specialisten zijn effectiever in het omzetten van prospects naar klanten dan wanneer je dit zelf doet zonder ervaring.
  • Telesales experts kunnen lastige prospects makkelijker omzetten in klanten dan wanneer je dit zelf doet.
  • Uiteindelijk bespaart het je een hoop tijd en geld door het uit te besteden.

Wat heb je nodig voor telesales?

We zijn niet allemaal geschikt voor alle banen en beroepen, dat geldt ook voor werken in de telesales. Als jij nou je telesales wil uitbesteden aan een professioneel team, zijn dit een aantal dingen die handig zijn om op te letten:

  • Makkelijk zijn in de omgang. Je gaat natuurlijk met allerlei verschillende mensen praten en daarbij is het handig om goed te zijn in het praten met vreemden.
  • Proactief zijn. Het is de bedoeling dat je als televerkoper de potentiële klanten aanspoort en overtuigd om sales te maken en is het dus belangrijk om initiatief te tonen. Afwachtend zijn en hopen dat de klant het product of de dienst af wil nemen is dus niet handig.
  • Vasthoudendheid. In de telesales is het belangrijk om vol te kunnen houden wanneer je in gesprek bent met een lastige potentiële klant die af en toe  wat tegengas geeft.
