De voordelen van flexwerken

Flexwerken is enorm in trek tegenwoordig. Flexwerkplekken vind je overal in heel Nederland, jouw kantoor kan dus super dichtbij zijn. Files zijn verleden tijd en je houdt meer tijd over voor andere dingen. Wat zijn nog meer voordelen van flexwerken? En zijn er eigenlijk ook nadelen? Meer hierover vind je hieronder.

Wat is flexwerken?

Als eerst is het belangrijk om het verschil tussen flexwerken en flexwerkers te benoemen. Het gebeurt vaak dat deze twee begrippen door elkaar worden gehaald namelijk. Flexwerkers zijn werknemers met een flexibel arbeidscontract, iets heel anders dan flexwerken dus. Flexwerken is het werken onder flexibele werktijden binnen een flexibele werkomgeving. Flexwerken is niet alleen fijn voor werknemers, maar het is ook fijn voor werkgevers. Flexwerken kan namelijk de arbeidsproductiviteit flink verhogen.

De voordelen

Er zijn meerdere voordelen van flexwerken voor zowel werkgevers als werknemers. Door het flexwerken wordt de werk-privébalans verbeterd. Door dit verbeterde balans hebben werknemers meer werkplezier en dit leidt weer tot minder ziekteverzuim. Ook is het zo, dat volgens de mensen die flexwerken, de productiviteit wordt verhoogd. Dit klinkt natuurlijk als een win-win situatie. Werkstress is ook een punt dat minder ervaren wordt bij mensen die flexibel werken. Dit kan natuurlijk ook een reden zijn dat de productiviteit wordt verbeterd. Het grootste voordeel voor de werknemer is waarschijnlijk de afname van reistijd. Flexwerkplekken vind je namelijk door heel het land. Flexwerkplekken bevinden zich vaak naast de snelweg, je bent er dus zo. De nadelen

Ondanks de voordelen van flexibel werken zijn er ook een aantal nadelen. Deze nadelen kunnen ervoor zorgen dat sommige werkgevers (nog) niet heel enthousiast worden van het flexwerken. Zo is het toch minder makkelijk om je werknemers te benaderen wanneer zij ergens anders aan het werk zijn. Ook kan je als werkgever je afvragen of je werknemers wel hun werk doen en niet afgeleid zijn door andere dingen. Een oplossing hiervoor is om targets te stellen en gebruik te maken van een agenda.

Het feit dat een werknemer kan bepalen wanneer je werkt kan er wel voor zorgen dat hij ook actief is in bijvoorbeeld de avonden en weekenden. Een werkgever krijgt dan het gevoel dat je altijd bereikbaar bent, ook wanneer je dit eigenlijk niet bent. Dit zorgt ervoor dat je als werknemer meer bezig bent met je werk in je vrije tijd en dat je opgebeld wordt terwijl je vrij bent. Tuurlijk is ook hier een oplossing voor. Als werknemers hun werktijden en dagen noteren, kan de werkgever ze op deze momenten niet storen.

Flexwerken heeft dus naast de vele voordelen ook een aantal nadelen. Gelukkig is er een oplossing voor deze minpunten en is het flexibel werken voor zowel de werkgever als de werknemer een positief iets en levert het voor beide partijen iets op.
